They rely on Bluetooth technology but can use a 3.5 mm cable too

There's no discernible reason for the new speakers from Edifier to be called Luna Eclipse, since the resemblance to the moon is mostly absent, but that's the name that the company chose.

Edifier says in its press release, that the new Luna Eclipse is “a must have for audio enthusiasts seeking exceptional audio quality in a visually striking package.”

We admit that the 74 W sound intensity is pretty good, but there isn't anything particularly unique to speak about here.

The Bluetooth technology is a common fixture of wireless speakers, and while the 3/4-inch / 19 mm tweeter and a 3-inch / 76.2 mm full range speaker drive are nice, they aren't particularly groundbreaking either.

Edifier also took pains to mention the mention the auxiliary 3.5 mm input but, again, this isn't a shocking asset.

Still, there are some nice perks, like the DSP and DRC technologies that minimize distortions, and the remote control for volume and power.

Also, Luna Eclipse feature electronic crossover and dedicated power amplifier to each tweeter and bass drivers.

Speaking of which, there are two 2 x 3-inch passive bass radiators in each speaker, and the 3-inch bass drivers are paired with 19 mm silk dome tweeters.

The touch-sensitive controls for volume, play/pause, and previous/next track are a nice addition too.

All in all, smartphones, tablets, and computers should easily be able to play music or film audio at high quality, all for the price of $199.99 / €145.25 – €199.99.

For those who want more specifics, the Edifier e25 Luna Eclipse Bluetooth speakers measure 4.8 x 8.35 x 8.74 inches / 121.9 x 212.09 x 221.99 mm and weigh 7.94 lbs. / 3.6 kg. Customers will be allowed to select between black, white, and red colors. Canadian customers should be able to get the product soon too, if not already, for $199.99 CAD.
