Having experienced some turmoil with its online services for the past few years, Apple management has finally decided to put them all under one umbrella which Eddy Cue will be gripping firmly starting this week.

Apple has confirmed that Eddy Cue will take on some additional responsibilities in his role as senior vice president of Internet Software and Services.

Adding Siri and Maps to the online services group, Apple hopes to improve them both under Cue’s leadership.

According to the Mac maker, “This organization has overseen major successes such as the iTunes Store®, the App Store, the iBookstore and iCloud. This group has an excellent track record of building and strengthening Apple’s online services to meet and exceed the high expectations of our customers.”

The change is part of a major shakeup at Apple announced via press release yesterday evening. As a result of reorganizing its management, Apple is letting two executives go – John Browett (effective immediately), and Scott Forstall (who will be leaving next year).
