What the hell was poor Eddie thinking? Hooking up with a former Spice Girl....It doesn't matter that David Beckham is married to one as well, at least he's got Posh Spice. Out of the four Spice Girls left, Eddie picked Melanie Brown, a.k.a. Melanie B., a.k.a. Scary Spice. Now Eddie, there's a reason why she's called that way.

Eddie and Melanie dated for a couple of months last summer. It appears that Melanie got the impression that Eddie would propose engagement, so she agreed to make love with no glove. Yes, you guessed it, Eddie knocked her up. The Beverly Hills cop stood by Mel's side for a while, then decided that she is not the right woman for him (no really, do you think so too?). So he broke up with the 32-year-old former singer while she was still pregnant, and he let the whole world in on it, on a Dutch TV show. But Eddie should have known that it's never that easy.

Melanie went publicly with her pregnancy and she claimed Eddie is the father. Eddie took Shaggy's advice and kept on repeating "it wasn't me". Mel took the problem up with a court judge, who ordered Eddie to undergo a DNA paternity test. The actor had no choice but to do so.

Scary Spice gave birth to daughter Angel Iris on April 3 this year, which happens to be Eddie's birthday as well (now ain't that cute?). The DNA paternity test was scheduled early this month and the results confirmed that Eddie no longer has five, but six offspring. The actor's spokesman has declined to comment so far.

Before Eddie underwent the paternity test, he vowed to help Melanie raise her daughter, if she turned out to be his as well. Now that everybody knows that she is, he certainly is proving to be a "caring" parent, since he has not seen either of them since Angel Iris' birthday. In the meantime, Eddie is currently dating movie producer Tracey Edmonds.
