For months now, the blogosphere has been abuzz with talk that, whatever LeAnn Rimes is doing to stay thin, it’s probably not healthy. Husband Eddie Cibrian is now taking a stand on the matter, saying these reports “bother” him. A while back, Eddie was saying that he was ok with whatever was being written in the press about LeAnn because, to him,
she was “perfect.”
Plus, he knew that she was healthy and that she only managed to maintain her figure by working out a lot, as we also reported at the time.
In a new interview cited by
The Hollywood Reporter, the actor, who is now promoting his latest series “The Playboy Club” on NBC, admits that he’s actually bothered about how much negative attention LeAnn is getting for her weight.
Knowing for a fact that she works very hard for her figure
only makes matters worse, Eddie underlines.
“It bothers me because, obviously, I know she’s healthy. She eats more than I do sometimes,” the actor explains.
“She’s just a very [conscientious] eater, as far as what she eats. She eats pretty healthy, but she works out pretty hard too and she actually takes pride in the way she looks and it’s a shame that people will jump on the bandwagon just because she is fit,” Eddie says.
“And she’s far from unhealthy,” he adds.
In another interview, this time with
USA Today, the actor reveals both he and LeAnn are aware of how much negative attention they get on a daily basis but says that, for some reason, he’s found they can’t get away from it.
So, instead of trying in vain, they’ve decided to focus on the wellbeing and the happiness of their family, which also includes the two children he has with his ex-wife, Brandi Glanville.
“Do you not go to the beach anymore because somebody might be there to take a photo?… You just have to come to an acceptance that that’s what it’s going to be like – and it won’t always be that way – but for now, that’s what it is,” Eddie says.
