Ed Norton and Model Daria Werbowy Introduce “PRADA Phone by LG 3.0”

There’s no doubt about it, LG wants to make its third Prada phone more appealing to the masses by all means necessary. Obviously, this is a good thing for Android fans who can afford to pay a certain amount of money to grab a Prada-branded phone.

Starting today, actor Edward Norton and Ukrainian/Canadian model Daria Werbowy are the new faces of the global advertising campaign to launch the PRADA Phone by LG 3.0.

“It was a pleasure collaborating with PRADA and LG, both Global brands with impeccable reputations for being the most innovative and respected in their fields,” said Norton.

Shot by British fashion photographer David Sims, the campaign is meant to attract Android fans as well as customers who are looking for a “different” kind of phone.

“LG is delighted to have these talented and successful individuals on board to help launch this smartphone. They embody the very essence of the PRADA phone by LG 3.0, combining style with substance, as well as bringing to life this outstanding smartphone,” said Dr. Jong Seok Park, president and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company.

PRADA Phone by LG 3.0 is already available for purchase in the UK for £430 (670 USD or 515 EUR) outright. However, customers also have the choice of grabbing this premium phone for free on select plans via Phones4U retailer.

Even though it’s not amongst the most powerful Android smartphones available in the market, the third Prada phone manufactured by LG is not the most expensive either.

Aside from its pretty decent specs, the selling point of the phone is the Prada branding and perhaps its sleek design.

The phone is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform, but LG confirmed plans to deploy an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade later this year.

Furthermore, the device is equipped with a dual-core processor clocked at 1 GHz, an 8-megapixel rear camera with full HD (1080p) video recording, a large 4.3-inch NOVA display, as well as 8GB of internal memory and 1GB of RAM.
