Eco-Friendly Smart-for-us Introduced at Detroit Auto Show

Its comes equipped with 75-horsepower electric motor and a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 17.6 kWh, that can be fully recharged in up to eight hours. Apparently, the prototype, which is larger than the fortwo model, can reach a top speed of 80 mph.

The automaker reveals that the electric drive of the smart for-us is inspired by the new fortwo electric drive model, which is expected to arrive this fall.
