Online department store Liv.co.uk is selling some really cool underwear that is not only surprisingly soft, but also environmentally friendly. Long story short, it is offering knickers made from recycled pine tree cuttings.

“The pine needle fabric is a vicose. Like viscose rayon which is a fiber made from regenerated wood cellulose, this fabric is regenerated pine needles. Structurally it is similar to cotton, which is almost pure cellulose,” explains Dawn Foxall with Liv.co.uk.

Furthermore, “These are the pinnacle of French technology, delivered right where it matters. They won't leave you pining for the old bloomers.”

According to Worcester News, the eco-friendly underwear is the brainchild of lingerie designer Sophie Young, and is manufactured in France and Tunisia.

The underwear is said to be about as soft as silk and as cool as linen. One other way of describing it is saying that it feels like cashmere.
