Most Windows users are accustomed to more complex Twitter clients, but Echofon may steal the show with its clean, uncomplicated interface. The application is more familiar to Mac users since the application has a longer history on Apple’s operating system and there is also a version for iPad.
It has a simple purpose: retrieve the information feed from your Twitter account. If you have an iPhone, you can synchronize unread tweets so you can pick up right where you left on various devices.
The Windows edition is currently in beta stage, but it is already versatile enough to support multiple accounts, preview images in the timeline, check what is trending or save your search queries.
Echofon may not benefit from the same adoption rate on Windows it enjoys on Apple’s devices, but it delivers a clean way to check your Twitter feed and send out your messages.
