Ecco The Dolphin is an action-adventure game originally released in 1993 by Novotrade International for the Sega Genesis consoles. Being considered one of the hardest games ever released, it has managed to create a very active and dedicated community of fans. Also, lots of sequels and spin-offs were released.

The Xbox Live Arcade version of Ecco The Dolphin was released on the 15th of August 2007 and it still is available to be purchased for 400 Microsoft Points. It features improved graphics and game mechanics and is, just like the original, an incredibly difficult game.
