“A fast-paced turn-based strategy game, supercharged with fighting-game flare”

17-BIT, Inc. has released a cool, fast-paced, turn-based strategy game with fighting elements called Skulls of the Shogun where you must eat your enemies’ heads.

Well, it’s really not that simple when you get down to it. First, you enter the Samurai Afterlife. Then you team up with undead warriors. Later on, you shake hands with monks, and other mystical samurai blokes, and then you “crush your enemies and eat their skulls.” The developer also promises a serious dose of humor.

Right. You’ll need at least iPad 2 or iPad mini, iPhone 4, iPod Touch (4th generation), or newer to play the game, but you’ll be glad to know it only requires iOS 4.3, in case you haven’t performed a software update since 2010.

Other than that, Skulls of the Shogun is a universal app, which means it runs natively on whatever iDevice you choose to run it. It has no tricky in-app purchases (which I personally admire in a developer), and you pay only $3.99 / €2.99 / £2.99 for the full experience. Download Skulls of the Shogun now and have a blast.
