NeoSmart Technologies has released a new build for EasyBCD, which includes support for Windows 8. Apart from this, the fresh build brings to the table new features, improvements and repairs.
EasyBCD 2.2 can automatically create a backup of BCD store the first time you run the program and now it supports the new Hyper-V virtual hard disk format, VHDX.
The repairs available in this release refer to issues such as EasyBCD not being able to detect entries if EFI bootmgr is installed or failing to exit when closed after unsafe removal of a loaded USB. Also fixed is the entry corruption problem caused by setting locale for VHD entry. The current revision should no longer hang on Windows 8 with .NET 4 on.
