A new video has just emerged for Earthlock: Festival of Magic, a turn based role playing game currently undergoing a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.

The game is set in a world where magic meets machinery and the developers unveiled the new vid during last week’s Game Developers Conference. It’s being made by indie studio Snowcastle Games and its heading for the Mac, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Wii U platforms.

The fantasy title has already been greenlit by the Steam crowd, and its Kickstarter campaign is above halfway funded, with 13 more days to go.

“We have gotten great support from the Nordic Game Program and the Norwegian Film Fund. We have awesome investors who believe in us, and the last piece of the financial puzzle is you, the player,” the developers share on Kickstarter.

Earthlock: Festival of Magic is designed to be the first part of a trilogy, the introductory chapter that begins the adventure. The game is set in an original universe, on a world that has been struck by a cataclysmic event ages ago, one that stopped it from turning.

As such, the planet is now divided between everlasting winter on one side and being mercilessly scorched on the other, with the last survivors finding refuge in the confined region that makes the transition between the two.

Earthlock: Festival of Magic is currently scheduled for release in Q2 2015, provided, of course, that the crowdfunding campaign meets the required goal.
