Shuhei Yoshida, the leader of the Sony Worldwide Studios, says that he is disappointed by the early review scores associated with the PlayStation 4 and its launch titles and believes that they will increase as gamers spend more time with the device.

He tells GamesIndustry.biz that, “it's disappointing to see some of the low scores. I haven't spent enough time reading reviews, but I would characterize them as mixed.”

The executive believes that some of the negative reactions might be linked to the speed at which new content for the PlayStation 4 needs to be evaluated and to the fact that the online functionality for the device is not yet available for extended use.

The Sony leader also thinks that reviews are not a problem for the launch performance in terms of sales.

The PlayStation 4 will be out tomorrow in the United States and two weeks later in Europe.
