14 DAY TRIAL // There is still some time until the official launch date for the latest Sylvester Stallone all-tough-guy roundup movie “The Expendables 3,” but there is serious activity coming from the studio that has already released 16 character posters.
Because there is an unusually high number of actors that make up the mercenary team, and each one is famous in his own right, the producers decided that it was a better choice to make a poster for each, instead of cramming them altogether in a group shot and writing their names in small letters underneath.
Apart from Stallone, you'll see Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Mel Gibson, Harisson Ford, Kellan Lutz, Antonio Banderas and Wesley Snipes.
The plot of the movie is simple: Barney, the leader of the Expendables, played by Stallone, has to do battle with Conrad Stonebanks, a former member of the team, played by Mel Gibson, who is making it his life's purpose to eliminate the mercenaries.
In order to combat this, Barney enlists the help of new members, who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy than the aging ones. This is a smart move because it will bring younger fans in cinemas, more attracted by the likes of Kellan Lutz than by Mel Gibson or Harisson Ford.
