EVGA’s team has developed a new BIOS version targeted at three of its Intel-based motherboards. The 1.22 BIOS package is suitable for the Z75 SLI, Z77 FTW, as well as Z77 Stinger (mITX) motherboards, and has the same installation steps for all of the boards.

This BIOS version, just like the 1.21 version, is compatible with all of Microsoft’s Windows operating systems, running on either 32- or 64-bit platforms.

As for fixes, EVGA managed to resolve the S1 resume issue, onboards audio disabling bug, as well as the PLL problem which wouldn’t enable under 2133 MHz memory clock. Beside fixes, there is one aspect that we mustn't neglect, namely the eXtreme Memory Profile (XMP) support improvement.

In order to install this version, first you must load the default BIOS settings (do not flash BIOS on overclocked settings), and afterwards run one of the bat files within the downloadable archive – FPTWIN32.BAT or FPTWIN64.BAT for 32- or 64-bit platforms, respectively, or FPTDOS.BAT if DOS Mode is used.

Press “Y” to start the process, and from this point make sure that the system isn’t powered off or rebooted until the process is finished. After the flash is complete, load default BIOS settings again, and if the whole operation is a success, the BIOS should read a 1.22 version.

Now, if you consider updating, follow the link below and choose the one that best describes your board.
