EVGA is a household name in the world of high-end graphics and motherboards, but the company appears to be looking forward to broadening its product portfolio with some new product categories. Just recently, it announced the introduction of its new InterView 1700, a dual-monitor system designed for professional users, researchers, physicians and financial consultants looking for support for a fully capable visualization solution. Designed with two 17-inch LCD monitors connected by a central stand, the solution will allow users to flip a panel over and share their desktop with someone sitting across from them.

"We found the need to improve today's face to face interaction in all business environments, and that is why we spent so much effort to develop the InterView,” said Andrew Han, president of EVGA Corporation. “EVGA's unique, patented design for the InterView, using two rotating displays will redefine business interaction around the world.”

The two 17-inch displays are capable of resolutions of 1440 by 900 pixels, providing professional users with plenty of working space on their computer's desktop. According to the company, the InterView screens have the capability of rotating 180 degrees on a horizontal axis, inverting the displayed image so that it can be viewed properly by viewers on the other side of the monitor. The screens can also fold 90 degrees.

Additional features of the new InterView 1700 Dual-display system include a built-in 1.3MP webcam, three USB ports, DVI connectivity and individual controls that enable users to manage the two 17-inch monitors, featuring 8ms response time and a 500:1 contrast ratio.

The system will be available for a rather hefty price of US$650 and will most likely be targeted at a completely different market segment from what EVGA is famous for. For those looking to get a deeper feeling of what the new dual-display system from EVGA is capable of, the fellows over at Hot Hardware have had a first-hand look at the solution and published a video of the product.
