Earlier this week, the new NVIDIA Tegra Note powered by the new Tegra K1 processor was spotted in some benchmarks tests, indicating the next-gen tablet is on its way.

Even if the chip-maker seems to be focusing on bring the new prototype to life, it hasn’t apparently forgotten about its original Tegra Note 7.

Back in December NVIDIA pushed the Android 4.3 update, but it appears that two months later they are ready to roll out the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update (via AndroidPolice).

So far, it looks like the EVGA Tegra Note 7 has started receiving the Android 4.4.2 OTA update as we speak. If you own a Tegra tablet, you should be receiving a notification indicating the update has arrived to your device.

The new build will bring all the KitKat goodness to your device, but so far there’s no word whether NVIDIA has included any of its own improvements or tweaks.

There’s currently no word either on when the update rolls out for other versions of the Tegra Note 7 coming from XOLO, ADVENT, Gigabyte or ZOTAC. I’ll keep you posted.
