EVGA has made available a new BIOS package targeted at its Z87 Classified motherboard, namely version 1.08, which adds support for new 4th-generation Intel Core processors and fixes the Intel i210 network problem that couldn’t be recognized after G3.

Bear in mind that updating the BIOS is recommended only if the newer version brings changes that you can use in your advantage; otherwise, it’s just a risk that you can avoid taking. Moreover, you should perform this task in a steady power environment such as the one ensured by a UPS unit.

Therefore, if you consider applying this release, then get and extract the downloadable archive, close all programs and processes that might interfere with the upgrade, and run the “update.bat” file from within the newly created folder.

Now press “Y” to initiate the flash process and make sure you don’t turn off or reboot your system while the installation is in progress so that the BIOS software doesn’t encounter any malfunctions.

After the update has successfully completed and the system automatically powered off, turn on the computer and go into BIOS setup in order to check if the new version has installed properly, as well as to load the default settings.

That being said, download EVGA Z87 Classified BIOS 1.08, make sure you are familiar with the installation steps, apply the new BIOS, and check with our website as often as possible so that you don’t miss a single new release.
