If you have set your mind on upgrading your graphics card to one of the recently-announced models, such as NVIDIA's fresh new 55nm GT200-based GTX 285 and GTX 295, you should take a look at one of the new offers from EVGA. This graphics card maker, also one of NVIDIA's largest partners, can now provide its customers with a complete lineup of GTX 285 offerings, from the standard to the factory-overclocked versions. Their latest addition is the GeForce GTX 285 FTW version, which EVGA claims to be the fastest GTX 285-based card currently available on the market.

As you might expect, the FTW edition has been designed to provide technology and gaming enthusiasts with a product that can deliver an impressive performance level. The card is designed as a factory-overclocked version of NVIDIA's fastest single-GPU graphics card currently available. It boasts a core speed of 720MHz and a Shader clock speed of 1620MHz, while the memory has been clocked to 2772MHz. If you compare these values with clock levels achieved by the standard model, of 648MHz for the core and 1476MHz for the Shader clock, you will truly understand why EVGA claims this card as the fastest GTX 285 available.

And if all that isn't enough to impress you, you should take into consideration that with every GTX 285 and GTX 295 graphics card EVGA offers a new custom Precision skin. Precision is EVGA's own advanced graphics tuning utility, which allows the end user to fine tune his EVGA graphics card, thus enabling a higher level of performance. In addition, according to some recent details, EVGA users will soon be provided with a new overclocking tool, specifically designed for the use of EVGA graphics cards, which will enable the fine tuning of the card's voltage numbers.

The card is now listed as available in stock for a MSRP of $449.99. If you already got your hopes high, turn to EVGA's product page, where you will be redirected to the company's online store.
