Instead of releasing a whole card, the company is leaving things in your hands

Do you have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan Black graphics card, but want a better and more silent cooler? EVGA has just the thing for you.

The company could have released a GeForce GTX Titan Black video board with ACX cooling, but decided to just launch the cooler and leave things to follow their own course.

Not that EVGA doesn't have GTX Titan Black video board for sale. It does. Five of them in fact.

It's just that none of them have the ACX cooler, and from the looks of things, the situation will stay that way.

Anyway, the ACX cooler is a dual-slot model with two fans and a heatsink that directly cools the GPU, memory and VRM (voltage regulation module).

It might not be the best cooler we've ever seen, since it only has two fans and doesn't look particularly fancy.

On the flip side, it does only cost $40 / €40. We've run into coolers that cost twice as much, or more.

It's the sort of thing that will appeal to people who want a different cooler than the reference one, but don't want to jump all the way to water cooling. Besides, the GeForce GTX Titan Black isn't, well, black at all, save for the name etching on the cooler shroud. The EVGA GeForce GTX Titan Black ACX cooler from EVGA will remedy that.
