The development team at CCP announces that it has plans to launch a new Second Decade Collector’s Edition for its MMO EVE Online during October, with a number of exclusive items for the game that will celebrate its ten-year anniversary.

The collectible items designed for true fans of the EVE Online universe include:

- Into the Second Decade, a book with complex illustrations that details the events of the 10 years of MMO activity in 190 pages, focusing on community events and on the lore of the game; - the Rifter, a four port USB hub based on one of the best known ships of the universe; - a CD containing the soundtrack of EVE Online as performed by the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra, recorded in Reykjavik during EVE Fanfest 2013; - a board game called The Danger Game, which helped fund the development of the original release of EVE.

The Second Decade Collector’s Edition will also include codes for: The Golden Pod, a Gnossis blueprint, a Time Capsule that opens up collectible items linked to the history of the game, a skin for the Amarr Magnate Frigate, clothing items and powerful new weapons and dropsuits for Dust 514.

CCP is also including a new mystery code for a product or event that the company is not yet willing to talk about.

Those who pre-purchase EVE Online Second Decade Collector’s Edition will also get access to the Nefantar Thrasher, a destroyer, and the Amarr Templar Drop Uplink, a spawn beacon for Dust 514.

David Reid, the chief marketing officer at CCP, states, “EVE Online is a unique experience in gaming, with the most passionate, imaginative and loyal gamers anywhere growing and evolving the EVE universe for over ten years.”

He adds, “This collector’s edition was created in honor of and specifically for those who have truly brought EVE’s solar systems to life.”
