The official ESPN app for Windows 8 has received a major round of updates that includes a redesigned UI, new features, and essential bug fixes.

According to the official release notes, the new build packs a redesign main hub and news feed, while also adding prompts to rate and update the app.

It now features adaptive layouts for three different resolutions, namely 1366x768, 1920x1080, and 2560x1440, plus performance improvements in ScoreCenter and a new model video player.

You can now pin podcast channels, while the upcoming builds will also pack soccer stats and personalization options in the myESPN section.

Of course, the app continues to run flawlessly on all Windows 8 and Windows RT devices and it’s offered free of charge to all users.
