I am a sports fan and, as most other sports fans, when it comes to one of my favorite sports events, I would rather enjoy it on a high-quality entertainment center. With this in mind, it seems that someone has thought of a way
of improving the quality of sports events with the release of a new gadget. ESPN, the famous American sports television network, has released a remote control that integrates quite a few awesome and unique features, offering users a higher quality when viewing their favorite sports events.
The device, which has been dubbed The Ultimate Remote, features an elegant red and silver design and, as of today, has been made available for pre-order on Amazon. For a price tag of no less than $300, users can enjoy the benefits of a remote control that sports a 2.2-inch LCD display. The remote control has been designed to offer support to users wanting to keep up to date with the latest sports events, without interrupting a particular show. It sports a 802.11g wireless standard to access scores, fantasy leagues and other details made available on the ESPN website.
The built-in 2.2 inch display allows users to view to above mentioned events, while browsing through channels and options is accomplished with the help of the built-in controls. The controller doubles as a programmable universal remote that allows users to set their own macros and also receive pre-made ones. The display can be used as a basic web browser, proving access to pieces of information like TV programming guides, weather and, obviously, other non-sports data. The device has a built-in Lithium-Ion battery pack, which lays to rest the issue of disposable batteries.
You can recharge the battery through a USB plug or the provided cradle. You won't even need to turn on your computer in order to set up the software onboard the remote. Availability for the product has not yet been mentioned, but you can register for a pre-order on Amazon.
