The European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) has released a new interactive Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) map and an inventory of CERT activities in Europe.

The new version of the interactive map contains enhanced filtering options for those who want to find a specific CERT team from Europe. There are currently 195 groups.

General CERT Report and the National Governmental CERT Report features have been added to the map to provide even more details on CERT teams.

The inventory has also been improved to list the activities of “digital fire brigades” in a tabulated format.

“The Agency’s work for the ‘digital fire-brigades’ is a success story, creating a European CERTs community of trust reflected in this inventory and map. CERTs provide the operational backbone for protecting our ICT systems in case of cyber-attacks,” Executive Director of ENISA, Professor Udo Helmbrecht, noted.

“I am particularly pleased with our smooth co-operation with Europol, where ENISA’s expertise and prevention work supports their operational work in fighting cyber-crime.”

The CERT map and the inventory are updated twice each year, the next update being scheduled for the end of 2012.
