Singer cements her status as pop diva with astounding number

Ariana Grande got everybody talking with her appearance at last night’s MTV Europe Music Awards, which were held at The Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, not just because she debuted a more mature and chic look, but because she also delivered an astounding performance.

You will find it embedded in the video below: the pint-sized pop diva performed a medley of “Problem” and “Break Free,” her most recent single, peppered with a jaw-dropping moment in which she was carried over the audience, high in the air, from one stage to the other.

Before the gala, speaking on the red carpet, Ariana had teased fans by saying they should expect a performance like no other she had ever done. She also joked that she hoped she wouldn’t fall, which was enough indication that some kind of aerial stunt would be involved.

As you can see in the video, if she really was scared of falling, she held her own and allowed no trace of her fear to seep into her rendition of “Break Free.” Her voice didn’t falter one second, not when she was being strapped on her seat and not when she was so high above everybody else.

Say what you will about Ariana – and there’s a lot being said right now, especially how huge of a diva she is! – but when it comes to getting up on a stage and doing her stuff, she really delivers. Her EMAs 2014 performance is proof of that.

Enjoy!
