This is its first such hybrid and fits in most PC cases

We've seen enough watercooling systems to know that hybrid components aren't exactly common, but that only makes their release all the more noteworthy, just as EKWB probably hoped.

The company has introduced the EK-BAY DCP 2.2 Combo Reservoir, which will remove some of the complexity of installing a fluid cooling system in desktops.

It takes up two 5.25-inch drive bays, but since most desktop cases have three or more, there will be plenty of space for it, even alongside an optical disk drive.

The reservoir is made of POM Acetal, uses a G3/8 threaded filling port and is covered by acrylic glass with a thickness of 5mm.

One of the main advantages over normal systems is that no external components need to be used, so there is no cause of sawing off parts of the case, or drilling holes through the back to allow pumps to come in and out.

The anti-vibration rubber mounting system is another boon that aspiring overclockers will appreciate, as it prevents the generation of noise.

Furthermore, the contraption monitors the coolant level, so that one may notice more easily if any leaks occur.

Other specs of the EK-BAY DCP 2.2 Combo Reservoir include a G3/8-inch filling port and one G1/4-inch port threading.

The only thing not included with the reservoir-pump combo unit is, strangely enough, the EK-DCP 2.2 pump itself. While the box-like piece of machinery does possess a built-in port for installation of EK-DCP 2.2, the package doesn't include the pump itself.

At least orders are already being accepted, through the EKWB Partner Reseller Network and, of course, the EK Webshop itself. For those who don't feel like scrolling and clicking too much, the K-BAY DCP 2.2 Combo Reservoir – Acetal is priced at € 61.96, including VAT. That's around $61.96 – $80.40, give or take.
