EKWB Launches EK-FC7850 Water Block for AMD Radeon HD 7850

We are quite surprised that EKWB, a Ljubljana-headquartered Slovenian company specializing in computer water cooling, has just launched a new water block for AMD’s Radeon HD 7850 video cards.

The new device is officially called EK-FC7850 water block, and it looks like a very well-designed cooling solution, but we don’t think many users will be willing to pay more than 50% the value of their Radeon HD 7850 video cards and go for water cooling.

The device comes in two implementations and the more “affordable” one, the EK-FC7850 Acetal is priced at €81 ($101) while the K-FC7850 Acetal+Nickel will cost €87 ($110).

This is quite a lot of money and considering that you need a water pump, hoses, a radiator, a water tank and a radiator cooling fan, you’ll likely end up paying more for the water cooling solution than you pay for the video card.
