You can customize AMD's new wonder child even if no one else will

AMD's OEMs aren't allowed to change much, if anything, about the new Radeon R9 290 graphics card, but that doesn't mean you can't. EK feels you most definitely should.

Of course, when you have an entire lineup of water blocks all compatible with the new video card, and said video card is bound to sell like candy because it's so very cheap ($399 / €399), it makes sense that you'd want people to seek out your products.

Anyway, EK says that the existing EK-FC R9-290X series of water blocks are compatible with the Radeon R9 290, regardless of OEM (since they all have the same card on sale in the end).

This is the list, as noted in the EK Cooling Configurator Database:

EK-FC R9-290X - €92,95 / $92.95 EK-FC R9-290X - Acetal -€94.95 / $94,95 EK-FC R9-290X - Nickel -€104.95 / $104,95 EK-FC R9-290X - Acetal+Nickel -€105.95 / $105.05 EK-FC R9-290X - Nickel (Original CSQ) -€105.95 / $105.95 EK-FC R9-290X Backplate - Black -€26.38 / $26.38
