They are made for AMD Radeon R9 290 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770/780/Titan cards

The good thing about most graphics cards is that they don't have many, if any, chips on the back side of the PCB, and that makes it easier to construct cooling backplates that are compatible with more than one video board.

Case in point, of the two Full Cover Backplates that Ljubljana-based premium water cooling gear manufacturer EK Water Blocks made, one works for AMD cards and the other for several different NVIDIA boards.

Specifically, they EK-FC780 GTX Ti Backplate can be used on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770, 780, 780 Ti, Titan and Titan Black graphics cards, while the EK-FC R9-290X Backplate works on the Radeon R9 290 and R9 290X boards from Advanced Micro Devices.

For the most part, the backplates are intended as an aesthetic enhancement (they are, after all, colored red, yellow and blue, respectively).

However, the GeForce GTX Titan, which does have RAM chips on the back, will help improve cooling as well. Not by a lot, but it will still help. All Backplates, regardless of color (so, six in total), have a price of $32 / €32.

The EK Webshop and Partner Reseller Network should have all of them up for sale. Do remember, though, that you'll need a water cooling system if you intend to get water blocks as well.
