A minor issue that can be easily fixed to deliver better performance

EK’s Supreme HF waterblock seems to have a few minor mounting problems when used in conjunction with LGA 2011 socket motherboards which prevent them from delivering their full cooling potential.

Described as a production flow by the maker, this prevents the waterblock from providing the mounting pressure that it was designed to and can increase the CPU temperature by up to 1.5°C.

Only the EK-Supreme HF is affected by this flaw and fortunately this can be fixed quite easily by using the 2.5mm POM standoffs that are provided inside the retail kit.

Instructions on how to install these are available on the EK Website, which has already begun working on new problem-free LGA 2011 screws that will be shipped as soon as possible.

These will be clearly marked so that they can be easily recognizable.
