For those who don't know how to deal with chips stripped of their IHS

Integrated heatsinks (IHS's) are those chrome-colored plates that all CPUs have, but which can be removed if you know how. Some overclockers like to do it, since they can replace the paste beneath and cool it better during overclocking runs.

EK wanted to make it easier to cool de-lidded chips, and since there was no mounting mechanism made specifically for de-lidded AMD APUs, it decided to make its own.

So here it is, the EK-Supremacy PreciseMount Add-on Naked APU, the first mounting mechanism for Richland, Kaveri and Llano APUs stripped of their upper covers.

I don't recommend it to anyone other than experts though. Taking off the IHS can damage the chip die if you do it wrong. It can tear it open.

The price of the new mounting mechanism is €4.01 / $5.48.
