Computer enthusiasts who are into watercooling and want to purchase Nvidia's latest graphics card, the GTX 590, now have a reason to rejoice as EK has announced the availability of the first waterblocks specially designed to fit this dual-GPU solution.

Both share the same design and functionality and only differ when it comes to the material chosen for the top of the waterblock, as one is covered with black POM Acetal material while the other uses an acrylic see-through top.

According to the product description listed on the company's website, the base is made of nickel plated electrolytic copper and the waterblocks use a new cooling engine that has the fins cut directly into the copper core.

In addition, the sealing is preformed by quality rubber washers that withstand temperatures from 0 up to +80 degrees Celsius.

The solutions should be compatible with all the GTX 590 graphics cards that use Nvidia's standard printed circuit board layout.

Launched just one day ago, the GTX 590 has become Nvidia's fastest graphics card to date as it packs two GF110 cores on the same PCB and features no less than 1024 streaming processors, 128 texturing units and 96 ROP units.

The 3GB of GDDR5 video buffer are connected to the GPUs via two independent 384-bit memory interfaces.

Clock speeds have been set at 608MHz for the GPU and 853MHz (3414MHz data rate) for the memory and the card's “real world” TDP is estimated at 365W by Nvidia.

The EK-FC590 GTX – Acetal+Nickel and the EK-FC590 GTX – Nickel waterblocks are available right now for purchase from EK's website and are listed at €129.95 and €124.96, respectively.

All GTX 590 EK waterblocks are bundled together with thermal pads and the required mounting mechanism.
