Apple’s iPad mini and the 4th generation iPad will be available on UK’s first 4G mobile network, EE has just confirmed. Both tablets will be offered by Orange and T-Mobile as well, on HSPA+ and DC-HSDPA networks.

According to EE, both slates will be paired with a range of attractive data plans, in order to allow customers to take advantage of its blazing fast 4G data speeds, which are five times faster than 3G.

No word on pricing options and availability yet, but we suspect the carrier will start selling the tablets sometime next month, so stay tuned for more updates on this one.

Keep in mind that, while the iPad mini is a completely new iPad, which is said to be 23% thinner and 53% lighter than the 3rd generation iPad, the fourth generation iPad is an improved version of the Retina iPad launched earlier this year.
