With March now behind us, the second quarter of 2010 has officially started, which means that hardware makers and PC suppliers are getting ready for another batch of product launches and updates. One such refresh will be held at the Intel Solutions Summit, set to take place between April 13 and April 16 in Dubai. Aiming to build up some hype and anticipation, ECS has issued a press release disclosing the collection it has prepared for the event. Apparently, said collection includes a trio of mobile PCs.

Two of the three devices are based on the Intel Calpella platform and carry the names of C52II and C52IA. Both of them have a 15.6-inch LED-backlit screen, with a maximum resolution of 1,366 x 768, and a configuration that includes a hard disk drive with a storage capacity of 250GB, 320GB or 500GB.

The exact processor used by these laptops is not disclosed, but it is known that it will be a dual-core model. The rest of the mobile PCs' feature sets, except for the mention of “strong connectivity” (WiFi and Bluetooth most likely), remain shrouded in mystery.

The last of the three mobile PCs is known as the E11IS2. This netbook is based on the Pine Trail platform and has an LED-backlit anti-glare display that measures 10.1 inches and features a maximum resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels. The system configuration itself is not elaborated upon, but it is known that the CPU is an Intel Atom. The laptop will also boast a four-in-one card reader and support for HSUPA wireless broadband, as well as WiMAX. It is still unclear whether these last two capabilities are optional or part of the default configuration.

The E11IS2 and C52II series are meant for home or business use and will be described in detail in about two weeks. As for actual availability, the trio should make their way into stores before the current quarter is over.
