Elitegroup Computer Systems, or ECS for short, has probably come out with the best graphics offer for all performance-hungry gamers. It is called GeForce 9800GTX+ Hydra Pack and it has just been announced today by the company.

ECS' offer includes not one, but two GeForce 9800GTX+ graphics cards, cooled down by the company's Hydra Cooling System, which was displayed for the first time at this year's Computex Show in Taipei. The pack also bundles a number of accessories including Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2, developed by Ubisoft. So, we can easily say that ECS came up with the new offer with the enthusiast gamer in mind.

As far as technical specifications go, this "dual-headed graphics monster" is based on two standard versions of the above-mentioned GPU, enabling enthusiast users to do their own overclocking. Even more, because both cards make use of a liquid cooling system, the performance levels that can be achieved through an SLI setup should be impressive. According to ECS, Hydra, which is based on Thermaltake's Big Water 760i system, provides 18.7% lower temperatures than standard air cooling systems.

Each card comes equipped with a 9800GTX+ GPU clocked at 738MHz, while the 512MB of GDDR3 memory are set to work at 2200MHz. Offering 128 processor cores per card, the Hydra pack will most certainly provide its users with a significant boost of graphics performance. Because the pack is based on two of NVIDIA's latest graphics processors, it also provides support for the company's PhysX and CUDA technologies.

ECS' initiative is rather interesting, as it allows enthusiast users to acquire two 55nm-based graphics cards in a single well-bundled pack. Unfortunately, the company has announced neither price details nor the date when the Hydra pack becomes available in stores. Rest assured that, as soon as the product gets listed at a retailer, we will try to bring you all the info.
