It's still ill-advised to dunk your computer in water though

Moisture can wreak havoc on electronics, and a short circuit can be caused even by the slightest fogging over of your PC's insides. So ECS set about fixing that vulnerability.

It's doubtful that electronics will ever truly become impervious to death by water, unless they are specifically sealed against it.

ECS still made the Durathon technology though, which implements the highest level Bi-Directional Splitting Glass Fabric.

3 times more effective than general glass fabric at protecting against humidity, it should enhance stability, reliability and performance on motherboards.

In a nutshell, the PCB (printed circuit board) of motherboards is denser and better protected from short circuit, system instability, and burn out malfunction.
