Electronic Arts has clarified a few things about the recently confirmed Star Wars games that are in development at its internal studios like DICE or Visceral, confirming that they won't be released this fiscal year.

This means that fans should expect them to appear after April 2014.

EA surprised quite a few people this week when it confirmed that it's signed an exclusive agreement with Disney to make Star Wars games.

The company quickly admitted that such titles are in development at studios like DICE or Visceral Games, and that they'll be powered by the new Frostbite 3 engine.

Now, EA's Frank Gibeau has confirmed, via CVG, that the new titles won't be released this fiscal year.

As a result, fans should probably expect the new games to surface after April 2014, when EA's next fiscal year starts.

No other details were given, so Star Wars fans should just wait and see what the future holds for the series.
