Frank Gibeau, the leader of the EA Labels division, says that his company plans to launch one or two new intellectual properties during each year after the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony are finally released.

Some gamers might be disappointed to learn that the executive is counting titles like Mirror’s Edge 2 and Dragon Age: Inquisition as being new IPs.

He tells CVG that “We're going to try and announce the new projects in the next couple of years - so in years two to three in the next-gen cycle, the plan is each year you'll see one to two new IP from us coming out.”

Gibeau also mentions Titanfall, the new shooter from Respawn Entertainment, and the UFC title from EA Sports as part of this second wave of next-gen devices.

PlayStation 4 is confirmed to arrive on November 15 in the US and two weeks later in Europe, and the Xbox One is expected during the same month.
