Developer EA Sports has released a brand new content update for its MMA-based fighting game EA Sports UFC, delivering three more fighters and introducing a few tweaks to its gameplay.

Fans of the mixed martial arts game can now play as heavyweight fighter Spite Miocic and welterweight fighters Matt Brown and Mike Pyle, the latest additions to the game's extensive roster.

This isn't the first content update for EA Sports UFC, the first one introducing TJ Dillashaw, Takeya Mizugaki and Tyron Woodley, just over a month ago, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners to play as.

The update also introduces a number of gameplay changes, among which the ability for players to manually taunt their opponents' mid-fight, as well as to counter their opponents' kicks during parries, by catching their legs, which can then be followed by a single leg to half guard a takedown.

Furthermore, the referee will now end matches when a submissive fighter blocks too many strikes in a row, without showing signs of improving their position during ground and pound, which will essentially prevent stalling.

Also included in the update is a slight tweak to the amount of stamina lost from successful strikes, and if you want to see the new fighters in action, have a look at the trailer below.
