EA Sports has released the demo of the upcoming mixed martial arts game EA Sports UFC, in order to prepare players for the mind-bending and arm-bending action that takes place inside the octagon.

In order to make sure that everyone can get a proper taste of the action, EA has also released a guide, to teach newcomers to the series how to pummel their opponents into submission.

The EA Sports UFC guide is a surprisingly detailed introduction into the fight mechanics built for the game, which are intimidating at first glance. EA seems to have the right idea regarding the needs of a player just taking up EA Sports UFC, as it has released a series of video tutorials detailing pretty much everything, from standing offense and defense, to delivering vicious knees and powerful takedowns in clinches, and how to defend yourself when your opponent pins you to the ground.

Another series from the publisher delivers a bunch of video tutorials that go into detail regarding the wealth of options available when it comes to making your opponents tap out, showing how to initiate different submissions in EA Sports UFC, from both the top and bottom positions.

In addition to having more button combinations than the spacecraft that flew to the moon had, the upcoming game also boasts adaptive artificial intelligence that learns and accommodates for changes in player strategies mid-game, in order to make the entire experience even more grueling.

EA Sports UFC runs on EA's Ignite engine and is coming out on June 17 in North America and June 20 in Europe, exclusively for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms, but a demo version is already available for download on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network.

The demo includes a full-tutorial system, going over all the important phases of a fight and detailing the importance of positioning and of being able to use several fingers at once on the controller.

To further complicate things, all of the fighters have signature moves, and learning how to be effective in the ring makes Super Street Fighter 4 seems like a turn-based affair, on paper at least.

The playable demo features a rematch of last year's UFC 165: Jones vs. Gustafsson, a light heavyweight championship bout between Jon Jones, defending the light heavyweight title, and Alexander Gustafsson.

We currently have a highly trained martial arts expert punching and kicking his way through the demo, and we'll post a preview of EA Sports UFC when he's done forcing his opponents into submission.
