Video game publisher Electronic Arts says that its recently launched EA Sports UFC fighting game will be launched on December 18 for free on the EA Access service on the Xbox One, joining the many other titles that are already part of the Vault.

All game modes are included and the new title is set to add even more value to a feature that already allows those who subscribe to play Battlefield 4, Need For Speed Rivals, Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, and Peggle 2.

The official announcement says that EA Sports UFC is designed to offer ”the most realistic take on Mixed Martial Arts ever achieved. Train your custom character to take on the world, or play as any of the legendary MMA fighters, past or present, in thrilling battles. The action, emotion, and intensity of the Octagon are brought to life like never before.”

The EA Access service is at the moment only offered on the Xbox One home console and allows gamers to access Vault titles for free and to benefit from a 10 percent price cut when they purchase any other title digitally on the device.

At the same time, Electronic Arts is introducing exclusive trials that give players six hours to try out all the features of soon-to-be-launched experiences, with the complete mechanics included.

EA Sports UFC continues to get content and updates

The Ultimate Fighting Championship from EA Sports aims to recreate the complexity of the sport and gamers have recently been able to download a free content update on both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

It gives them access to four new characters, the so called Legends of the Octagon, and their unique skills: Mark Coleman from the heavyweight division, Matt Hughes of the welterweight division, Rampage Jackson, fighting in the light heavyweight division, and Brock Lesnar of the heavyweight division.

EA Sports also says that it is aiming to better balance the mechanics of the game in a coming update for the title, with all changes based on the feedback offered by the community.

Electronic Arts says that it plans to include hundreds of games in the Vault linked to EA Access, but the company has not announced a time frame for the delivery of the promised free content.

At the moment, there are no plans to bring the service to the PlayStation 4 or the PC, where it would augment Origin in interesting ways.
