The Ultimate Team game mode for FIFA 13 has been used in a number of hacking and phishing attempts, but the team working on the game at publisher Electronic Arts is decided to make sure that the player base continues to play and enjoy it.

In order to help players protect themselves, EA Sports has released an official statement about the measures that players need to take.

The official statement from Electronic Arts reads, “The majority of people playing Ultimate Team are honest. Unfortunately, there are a very small percentage of individuals who are cheats, and they are looking to steal your account information.”

The statement then goes into some detail regarding the tactics potential attackers might use and about how those who play Ultimate Team can make sure they are protected.

The Ultimate Team game mode for FIFA 13 allows gamers to create their own fantasy teams using a system of cards and then pit them against those of their friends.
