Electronic Arts has just confirmed that EA Sports FIFA Online 2 has officially launched in Asia. The game has been co-developed with Seoul-based Neowiz Games, making it the latest (next-gen) installment of the EA Sports FIFA Online franchise. The same report confirms that online operations will be handled in Korea by Neowiz Games.

EA has confirmed that EA Sports FIFA Online 2 features "the advanced FIFA 07 gameplay physics engine", which enables the most responsive and natural football graphics and animation to date. So how exactly are we dealing with a next-gen title if the game is using a last-gen physics system...? Probably the rest of the game compensates for that.

Anyway, the new player transfer system and the unlimited level system also allow a sense of achievement in developing player skills and building one's own dream team. Naturally, players will also be able to fully create and customize their own distinct players and team identity.

Mr. Kwan-Ho Choi, CEO of Neowiz Games, said, "The successful publishing know-how of Neowiz Games and the state of the art FIFA ONLINE 2 physics engine from EA SPORTS will surely make this the most authentic football experience for online gamers. The launch of this great product will enable Neowiz Games to continue to be a solid leader in the national sports gaming market."

As for Su-Jung Hahn, General Manager of EA Korea, he reckons that "FIFA ONLINE 2 brings a fresh experience to online gamers. This next generation offering responds to the needs of our players that have made FIFA ONLINE such a tremendous success in Korea. With the new engine, FIFA ONLINE 2 brings even more challenge and fun to football gaming fans".

So remember, EA Sports FIFA Online 2 has just gone out in Asia, with the game's Korean online operations being handled by none other than co-developer, Neowiz Games. The company develops and publishes online games, currently having over 50 online titles in service, including the EA Sports FIFA Online franchise.
