Gamers in North America can play the full game

Video game developer EA Sports announces that the demo version of FIFA 15 has been played by more than 5.5 million gamers all over the world since it was introduced on all platforms and that it is currently holding the audience record for the current line-up of sports titles from the company.

The football sim is at the moment offered on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, the PC and last-gen consoles.

David Rutter, vice president and general manager of the company, states, "We believe we have built a game in FIFA 15 that delivers the most immersive and responsive gameplay experience ever in the FIFA franchise."

The demo gives players access to eight teams from all over the world and allows them to test some of the core game mechanics.

Those who have a subscription to the EA Access service on the Xbox One have also been able to experience the full title for a six-hour period.

FIFA 15 is at the moment launched in North America and will arrive in Europe on September 25.

The game includes better physics, a more realistic presentation, improved goalkeepers and smarter teammates, who perform better both on the attack and in defense.

There are also new features for the ever more popular Ultimate Team mode.
