In the wake of the Newtown, Connecticut tragedy, Electronic Arts has just removed the links it had on the official Medal of Honor: Warfighter website to various shops that sold military-grade guns and weapons in the U.S.

The massacre that happened at the Sandy Hook school in Newtown, Connecticut, has once again drawn the attention of the media on video games, as many quickly jumped at the chance to blame franchises like Mass Effect, Call of Duty or Dynasty Warriors for the gesture of shooter Adam Lanza.

Now, in order to prevent any unwanted controversy, EA has removed the different links it had on the Medal of Honor: Warfighter website to different gun stores from across the U.S, according to Rian.ru.

While the links are gone, company logos and the descriptions of different weapons remain on the website, so a quick search can still help Warfighter fans get their hands on real-life weapons if they want it.
