Electronic Arts has renamed its previous Indie Games pack the Niche Gamer Bundle, after several independent developers criticized the large publisher for taking advantage of the indie culture.

EA publishes all sorts of games, from blockbusters like Battlefield or Mass Effect, to independent projects through its EA Partners program.

The company recently rounded up its newest titles into the Indie Games Bundle earlier this year, which it offered through digital distribution service Steam.

This promotional effort wasn’t so well received by some independent developers, as they felt EA was taking advantage of their culture, despite the fact that the games were, in fact, made by their fellow indie studios.

Now, EA has brought the special pack onto Amazon, although it has been renamed into the Niche Gamer Bundle.

The pack consists of DeathSpank, DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue, Gatling Gears, Shank, Shank 2 and Warp, and costs just $9.89 (around €7.89).
