EA has revealed that Xbox One owners will be able to enjoy EA Access on Microsoft's next-gen console without having an Xbox Live Gold subscription, provided that they don't want to connect to multiplayer.

EA unveiled its own version of Microsoft's Xbox Live Gold and Sony's PlayStation Plus services, an Xbox One exclusive subscription program, titled EA Access, and many gamers were concerned that Microsoft was going to put the service behind the Gold paywall, just like it did with Netflix, YouTube and even Internet Explore, for a pretty long time.

EA has confirmed that gamers will be able to get EA Access without Live Gold, but they will only be able to enjoy the games in single player. For access to multiplayer gameplay, a subscription to Xbox Gold is still required.

EA's subscription-based service costs $5 / €4 per month and will let players access EA games available on the service, and if you decide to buy in for a whole year, the monthly charge drops down to just $2.5 / €2 a month.

Furthermore, EA Access members receive 10 percent discounts on all the publisher's digital Xbox One content, and will be granted access to games up to five days prior to their official launch, as a "limited trial."
