EA Mobile's Scrabble game for
iPhone and iPod touch has added a new ability lately, the company has announced. Available on the iTunes App Store for five bucks, the game now connects the Facebook Scrabble application to a Scrabble game on iPhone and iPod touch – or vice versa – as long as the player is a U.S. or Canada resident.
According to an EA Mobile official report, this “connected” version of Scrabble provides an intuitive interface that allows head-to-head challenges with anyone accessing the game on Facebook, an iPhone or iPod touch. For example, you can start on Facebook and switch to iPhone or
iPod touch to keep playing. Also available is the ability to connect with a Facebook friend from an iPhone or iPod touch or to join a public game on Facebook. There's also an easy tracking of scores and statistics included with this release, as well as a built-in chat client.
