Nokia's new Eseries smartphones, the E71 and E66, are finally confirmed by the Finnish company, as both handsets are presented in online demonstrations on Nokia's official website. Although the E71 and E66 have been seen before, either in leaked photos or videos, now we have the certainty that they indeed exist and will soon hit the market.

The E71 demonstration should be found at this address, while for the E61 demonstration you must visit this address. For the moment, however, these links do not work, although a few minutes ago they were both showing about all the features the new Nokia smartphones come with. Anyway, it looks like E71 and E66 are worthy of carrying on the Eseries name, which is no surprise seeing as how Nokia has always come up with better products, year after year.

As already known, E71 is the successor of E61i, released by Nokia in 2007. Obviously, the new E71 brings more advanced features and a more elegant design (the E71 is also slimmer, having around 10 millimeters in thickness). Among the features of the smartphone we have Symbian S60 3rd Edition, built-in GPS, GSM and 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, a 240 x 320 pixel TFT display with 16 million colors, a full QWERTY keypad, Nokia Mail For Exchange, Web browser, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with flash, auto focus and video recording, Bluetooth 2.0, USB, Music and Video players, a 1500 mAh battery and expandable memory.

Nokia E66 has about the same features as the E71, minus the QWERTY keypad. Plus, it comes in a slider form factor, hence it unveils its alphanumeric keypad only when opened.

There is still no word on when the new Eseries smartphones can be bought or about how much they retail for, but Nokia will most probably release them by the end of this summer.
