Dragon Age: Inquisition is the most impressive title I have seen

E3 2014 seems bigger and more impressive than the edition of the show from 2013, despite the fact that it once again takes place in the two halls of the Los Angeles Convention Centre, which have not expanded in the past year.

The line of people eagerly awaiting for 12 o'clock on Tuesday was longer than ever and I spent about 20 minutes waiting for them all to go in before I was able to also enter the show floor, talking to some of them about the video games that they are aiming to see, with titles like Destiny, Call of Duty, Witcher, Dragon Age, Battlefield, Super Smash Bros. and FIFA getting a lot of mentions.

I first headed to the Bethesda booth in order to get some hands-on time with both Battlecry and The Evil Within.

Battlecry is a free-to-play experience with some interesting gameplay ideas and a lot of work linked to its lore and its character design.

The title is still in pre-alpha stage, with a beta set to be delivered in 2015, and it seems interesting, although a lot of work is required to make it a success.

The Evil Within has a lot of survival horror concepts on show and Shinji Mikami seems determined to create a title that has both a lot of horror elements and some cool gameplay moments.

FIFA 15 is one of the most interesting titles on the show floor and the team at EA Sports working on it says that it is aiming to create the most realistic football game ever, with smarter players and with a lot more attention paid to the way physics affects gameplay.

I played a match of the game, using Liverpool, and although I was defeated 2 to 1, I came away impressed by the experience. The game really manages to improve on the already impressive FIFA 14.

FIFA 15 will be delivered on September 23, and EA Sports has already offered tons of details about it today. More details are available in our earlier article.

The highlight of the first day for me was Dragon Age: Inquisition, which was demoed by the team at BioWare behind closed doors.

The game looks impressive at the moment and Producer Mike Laidlaw showed some very cool battles, including one against a powerful dragon, and the extensive world that players will be able to explore.
